Diabetes: New Testing and Treatment for Retinopathy

Wednesday, February 7, 2024
6:00 PM
Washoe Public House

Diabetic Retinopathy,  a leading cause of blindness, has historically been evaluated and followed with structural tests (DFEs, OCTs, and fundus photos). But, functional testing (ERG) and newer OCT testing (OCT-A) are tools you should consider using to evaluate diabetic patients. Join us as Dr. Nate Lighthizer guides us through an update on diabetic retinopathy and helps to provide a thorough understanding of the flash flicker electroretinogram (ffERG), proper indications and protocols, and how to interpret the results. We will also discuss the newest literature regarding supplementation of diabetic retinopathy.
