Children are becoming nearsighted at increasingly younger ages. Spending too little time outside and too much time inside, usually staring at a screen, plays a big part in myopia development in children.
What are you doing in your practice to help manage myopia?
If you are just starting out or have an established practice, there is always something you can learn from others, from the newest tools available to proven practices that work.
Join us on Wednesday, July 24 for dinner and CE at Brio Italian Grille in Town Square. Our speaker, Dr. Troy Ogden, will break down the simple steps to make myopia management easy for you and your practice.

Dr. Ogden is in his element, chatting and interacting with his patients. He delights in the smiles of patients when they see themselves in striking new eyeglasses or see clearly for the first time with contact lenses, especially with specialty lenses. He works to create a positive experience and enhance his patients’ well-being at every visit.
Optometry is his passion. Out of the office, he serves as President-Elect of the Nevada Optometric Association and was just named the Nevada Change Agent for The Myopia Collective. Dr. Ogden also lectures to Optometrists, Opticians, and Graduate Students on different ocular subjects. He is also a mentor to numerous pre-optometry students who shadow him in his Reno office. He also volunteers with community service vision groups, offering free eye exams when he can.
Dr. Ogden married his college sweetheart, Terri. They have two daughters, two rescue beagles, a rescue golden retriever, and a rescue cat; in other words, their home is filled with hair. In his free time, Dr. Ogden enjoys golf, traveling, family gatherings, fine wine, craft brews, and bourbon.
